Wines with DesiReviews

Ever wondered which wine to buy? Being Desi, it can be quite challenging. We are accustomed to beers and liquors, and in the last two years, I started exploring wines. I used to stay away because I didn't like the taste or flavor. However, the more I learned about wines, the more I started liking them, and they pair well with most foods, including Desi appetizers and dinners. At home, I began to prefer wine over beer for its light and refreshing feel.

There are numerous wines to choose from. However, it's essential to pay attention to the awards a wine has received and how many points it has garnered. Wines with 91 points and above are generally better rated. If you have a large wine and liquor shop nearby, they often have wine experts who can recommend options. Some wines may not have awards or points but still taste great, and some places even allow wine sampling.

Roscato Rosso Dolce Sweet Red

• Very Good Thumbs Up
• Sweet and just right. Full flavor with intense aromas of blackberries and ripe wild berries. Great with all food.

BartenuraMoscato

• Awesome Thumbs Up
• Light and Refreshing Taste
• Semi-sweet with lingering pear, tangerine, nectar and melon flavors rounding out the finish. Perfect with dessert or fresh fruit, or for sipping poolside. Made in Italy. Its a semi sweet wet taste. Taste of Pear, Melon
• 750ml goes for about $7 - $17 depending on where you live.

Yellow TailMoscato

• Just Okay Would buy only if nothing else is available.
• Sweet and light. Not overpowering. For those who like the fizzy taste. Has a wet taste in mouth not dry. Can drink anytime. It’s a clear white wine. 750ml goes between $4.99 to $6.99.
• From Company website: Enjoy it with hors d'oeuvres and spicy Asian food or by itself as a delightful accent to your favorite bar snacks.

BarefootRieslings

• Just Okay Would buy only if nothing else is available.
• Sweet with a stronger taste but still good with slight kick. It has a wet taste in the mouth not dry. Clear white wine that can be found in most liquor stores. Retails $4.99 to $6.99 for 750ml bottle.

• Red Wine|Made In Germany -Thumbs Up
• Sweet wine with a wet to dry taste. Can be had anytime. From company website: Great with all type of food. Leaves you satisfied. Retails for $6.99 to $12.99 for a 750ML bottle 8.5% Alcohol Level

MijaWhite Sangria White WineMija Sangria Red Wine

• Thumbs Up
• Sweet and fruity feel - Wet Taste - Retails for $4.99 to 10.99 depending on location for 750ML bottle.
• Both are good, but prefer the white as it felt lighter and smoother.

Sutter HomeWhite Zinfandel

• Good
• Semi Sweet and tangy. Semi dry taste. It smooth and refreshing with a strong citrus flavor. Great for all occasions. Retails for $6.99 to $9.99 for 750ml bottle. Goes well with spicy Asian or Mexican cuisine.
