Account Setup Buyer / Seller - Help Guide

  • Sign up / Login
    • Go to at the top right corner of the page.
  • At the login page you will get an option to sign up / Login. If you are a college user. Select it as your role and you will get access to the college section. College users will need to validate using their college email address.
  • After completing the sign-up process, your registration must be validated. You will be directed to a page displaying the message "Verification Email Sent."
  • Please check your email and click the verification link to confirm your account.
  • If you don’t receive the email, keep in mind that delivery times may vary depending on your email provider.
  • Be sure to check your Junk, Spam, Promotions, or Trash folders.
  • You will receive a verification email—click "Activate" and mark it as "Not Spam" to get future DesiFormal emails in your inbox.
  • After you confirm. You will receive at the top right corner of your screen.
  • If you don't receive a verification email, try using the "Forgot Password" option to send a reset email.
  • If the above does not work, reach out to us via the contact us form. Provide your name and email address you used. Keep in mind if your information is identified as Spam it will not be activated.

Ecommerce Tiles
  • This section displays the orders you have placed on the marketplace.
Event Owner Tiles
Definitions:
  • Total Booking Amount
    • Total Booking Amount = Total Ticket Sales + Fees + Government Tax
  • Total Service Tax
    • Represents the total government taxes collected. Sellers are responsible for reporting the sales tax they collect.
  • Total Ticket Sales
    • The total dollar amount generated from tickets sales.
  • Total Fees Collected by DesiFormal
    • The total payment collected by DesiFormal.
  • Total Pending Fees
    • The total pending commission owed to DesiFormal.
Wallet Amount
  • Total balance in your wallet
Complete Your Profile
Forums
  • A community space for discussions, questions, and knowledge sharing. Connect, collaborate, and stay informed!
Orders
  • All orders placed in the Marketplace, Online Stores, or Food section will appear in your Order Dashboard.
  • Order Status: Displays the current status of your order: Pending → In Process → Shipped/Completed.
  • The View button will give you your order details
Food Orders
  • All food orders placed in the Food section will be displayed in your Food Order Dashboard.
  • Order Status: Displays the current status of your order: Pending → In Process → Shipped/Completed.
  • The View button will give you your order details
Buyer Payment Method (Wallet)
  • Add a card below to use for your wallet. Whenever your wallet balance falls below $0, use this card to refill it.
  • This section is only for users who want to sell or list items on DesiFormal. If you're only purchasing items, adding a card is not necessary.
Real Estate
  • This section is for listing all Residential, Commercial, Land, Service Apartments, and Shared Spaces.
  • You can list apartments, stores, land, and other properties here.
  • To add a new listing, click "Add New" , and the form below will appear for you to enter your real estate details.
  • Anyone who contacts your listing they will show up in your messaging tab and you will get an email. After you submit your listing they will show up below under the real estate tab and you can edit it anytime. Once it rented please delete your listing.
Buyer Event Orders
  • View User Menu à Event Orders
    • This section displays the events for which you have purchased tickets.
  • Message
    • All quote requests, communications, and seller interactions will be handled through Messaging.
Buyer Quotes (My Quotes)
  • View User Menu à My Quotes
    • Once you submit your request it will show in your control panel under My Quotes. You will then receive bids according to your request and be able to chat with the vendor.

  • Address – Update your account address and shipping details.
  • Seller Payment Options – Register payment methods (e.g., PayPal, Stripe) to receive payments for sales.
View User Menu
  • Event Orders – View booked events.
  • My Quotes – Access requested quotes.
  • Reviews – Check and manage reviews you've left.
  • Wishlist – Save your favorite items.
View Seller Menu
  • Quotes – Manage customer quote requests for products or services.
  • Commission & Bonus – Track commissions charged and bonuses received.
  • Real Estate – List and manage properties for sale or rent.
  • My Events – Create and manage event listings and ticket sales.
  • Business & Freelancer – List your business or services and create a website.
Become a Seller
  • Apply to sell in the Marketplace, Food Section, or via your online store.
Account Management
  • Change Password – Reset your password.
  • Log Out – Sign out of your account.
