The film tells the legendary tale of Chandrahasa, an orphan boy discovered in the forest and raised by a nobleman of the Kuntala kingdom. His name, meaning 'moon?s laughter', reflects his radiant smile and noble spirit.
However, the kingdom?s minister Dushtabuddhi, after hearing a prophecy that Chandrahasa could one day threaten the royal lineage, plots to eliminate him.
Despite several assassination attempts, Chandrahasa survives - thanks to his courage, virtue, and divine grace.
