Watch Sense & Sensibility 30th Anniversary

This December, celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sense and Sensibility—back in cinemas and newly remastered in 4K. Directed by Oscar® nominee Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and adapted by Emma Thompson from Jane Austen’s beloved novel, the film tells the story of the Dashwood sisters: pragmatic Elinor (Thompson) and passionate Marianne (Kate Winslet). After the death of their father, the sisters and their mother are left without inheritance and must navigate love and social standing in a rigid society. Their contrasting journeys—Elinor’s reserved affection for Edward Ferrars (Hugh Grant) and Marianne’s romantic entanglements with Willoughby (Greg Wise) and Colonel Brandon (Alan Rickman)—lead them to balance heart and reason, sense and sensibility.
