In 1999, as Israel’s occupation of southern Lebanon nears its breaking point, renowned Israeli architect Yacov Rechter is asked to build a monument to honor fallen soldiers. His son, Amnon, an idealistic designer, challenges him to build something radically different: a monument to all victims of the war. As father and son clash over loyalty, morality and art, their project becomes a mirror of a nation divided.
